Mosquito Pest Control
Since the hot weather is fast approaching, mosquito pest control is about to become high priority. The last thing you want at your back yard barbecue or picnic is extra pest such as mosquitoes.

The weather has been real rainy this spring. The Mississippi River has been at or above flood stage for some time. This means the ground is wet thus creating an environment in which mosquitoes can live and pest control is needed. Standing water is the biggest attractor of mosquitoes. This does not have to be a river. Anything such as uncovered buckets, bird baths, rain gutters or garden fountains can be a problem. The best means of mosquito pest control is prevention. Big holes in the yard should be covered. Any thing outside that does or can hold water should be kept dry or full of fresh water. This includes your dog's water bowl.

Other forms of mosquito pest control the non-professional can use is citronella candles and maybe bug zappers. There are also plenty of non-professional grade chemicals can be used. Mosquito nets, mosquito screens and mosquito traps are also effective, however, they require plenty maintenance.

More advanced forms of pest control are the next step.Governments have a mosquito spraying program that usually covers the whole city . However, it is not wise to wait on the government to get to your neighborhood. The West Nile virus is still a problem and killing mosquitoes should be a summer priority for pest control.

If you are unable to control mosquito pest problem then a professional should be hired and can easily be found on the internet. Remember that whatever method you select the mosquito pest problem must be dealt with to avoid health problems.
